Praziquantel and Emodepside are the active ingredients in Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus. This blend of powerful ingredients kills roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms by paralysing the worms in your cat’s gut. This means worms can quickly and easily be cleared from your cat via their poo (lovely!). Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus also prevents worm larvae from developing to stop worms growing and multiplying in your cat, keeping them healthy and protected.

How Often Do I Need To Deworm My Cats?
Regular treatment of Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus is the best way to keep yourself, your family and your cat safe from worms.
Monthly dewormer is recommended for cats who love the outdoors or eat raw food because they're much more likely to get worms. Children under 4 and the immunosuppressed are in danger from a cat with worms, so monthly treatment is also recommended here. All other cats are recommended a quarterly dose of Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus.
Do Cats Really Need Deworming?

Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus can safely be used on pregnant and lactating cats.
How To Use Spot-On Wormer For Cats
Before applying, double check the dosage for your cat.
Remove lid from Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus pipette.
Flip the lid over and puncture a hole in the pipette so that the liquid can be dispersed.
Gently part the fur at the back of your cat’s neck, between the shoulders until you see their skin.
Place the pipette onto the exposed skin and squeeze on all of the Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus onto their skin.
Repeat every 3 months to stay protected from cat worms!
Can You Use Spot-On Wormer And Flea Treatment Together?
We recommend 48 hours between the application of topical treatments, like Itch Flea & Tick Spot On Treatment and Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus. Ideally, apply flea and wormer treatments in slightly different places on back of your cat’s neck.
Are Tablet Or Drops Better For Worms In Cats?
Itch Wormer Tablets for Cats and Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus both keep your cat safe from common intestinal worms. If your cat or kitten is unwilling to swallow a tablet, Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus is the better option (with less drama!).
Can Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus Be Used Alongside Other Medications?
We recommend not to use this product alongside Piperazine, which may be found in other worming products. Please speak to your vet before combining Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus with any other medications.

What Are The Main Types Of Worms That Affect Cats And How?
There are 2 main types of gastrointestinal worms which pose a risk to cats in the UK - roundworm and tapeworm.
Roundworms are the most common type of parasitic worm found in cats in the UK. These worms are long and white in appearance and steal nutrients from their host (your kitty - gulp). While the initial infection starts in their GI tract, roundworms can work their way into your cat’s other tissues and organs.
Tapeworms are long and flat in appearance. These parasites live in the small intestine and latch onto the intestinal wall, absorbing nutrients as your cat is digesting their food. When these worms are excreted, the body of the worm can break into segments that resemble grains of rice.
